When we entered the theme business, we led with a theme that revolutionized the use of WordPress for real estate. That theme was Turn Key and it integrated IDX home search better than any other theme on the market.
Turn Key was a different product in that it was built exclusively for a single IDX service. That service was the then brand new IDX Broker Platinum.
A lot has happened since the launch of TurnKey. IDX Broker Platinum has matured and grown. Design preferences have also changed. Although we have made minor updates to TurnKey, there seemed to be a lot of opportunity in developing more themes like TurnKey.
The TurnKey Family
Branching off of the original Turn Key theme, we have introduced 2 new themes: TurnKey Slider and TurnKey Map.
These new themes share the same great IDX Broker Platinum integration and mobile responsiveness, but with subtle differences. The style has been updated to a modern flat design. New features found in our most recent themes have been added like automatic updates and icon fonts.
TurnKey Slider receives the most requested Turn Key feature, an image slideshow. No longer do you need to select a single hero image for the homepage.
TurnKey Map utilizes the new map widget in IDX Broker Platinum. Unique in its mobile responsiveness, this map puts listings front-and-center on the TurnKey Map homepage.
Moving Up From TurnKey
If you are running the original TurnKey theme (now called TurnKey Legacy), switching to one of the new Turn Key themes is simple. Upload and activate the new theme, set up the slider or map. It is that simple for most sites.
