The site sections are primarily controlled with widgets. All sections here will be accessible from the Appearance > Widgets page in your Dashboard. For basic info on how to add Widgets visit the WordPress Widgets page on wordpress.org

Top Header

This is the small bar above the main header/logo area

Top Header Left

  1. Add a Text Widget to the Top Header Left widget area
  2. Enter the [social_icons] shortcode. Alternatively you can add any other text here, such as contact information.
  3. Click the Save button

Top Header Right

The Top Header Right is a Custom Menu. See the guide section on Menus.

Home Page

The Home Page sections are covered on the Home Page guide page.

Primary Sidebar

You can add any available widgets to your Primary Sidebar. In the demo, we’re using the Equity – Featured Listing Scroller widget which requires the WP Listings plugin, but you can add any other widget you’d like.

To add the Featured Listing Scroller widget:

  1. Add the Equity – Featured Listing Scroller widget to the Primary Sidebar widget area
  2. Enter a title
  3. Under Select Image Size: choose “listings (560×380)”
  4. Enter a number of results to show
  5. Enter 1 for the number of results to show at one time
  6. Optionally select a Taxonomy Term to show
  7. Click the Save button

Footer Widgets

You can add any available widgets to your Footer Widget areas. Here we will show how to set up the widgets used in the demo. You can also change the number of footer widget areas by visiting the Customize section.

Footer 1

  1. Add the Recent Posts widget to the Footer 2 widget area
  2. Give it a title
  3. Enter 5 for the “Number of posts to show”
  4. Click the Save button

Footer 2

  1. Add a Search widget
  2. Give it a title
  3. Click the Save button
