The site sections are primarily controlled with widgets. All sections here will be accessible from the Appearance > Widgets page in your Dashboard. For basic info on how to add Widgets visit the WordPress Widgets page on wordpress.org

Top Header

This is the small bar above the main header/logo area. If no widget is added, it uses the the [social_icons] shortcode as the default content.

Top Header Left

  1. Add a Text Widget to the Top Header Left widget area
  2. Enter the [social_icons] shortcode. Alternatively you can add any other text here, such as contact information.
  3. Click the Save button

Top Header Right

The Top Header Right is a Custom Menu. See the guide section on Menus.

Home Page

The Home Page sections are covered on the Home Page guide page.

Primary Sidebar

You can add any available widgets to your Primary Sidebar. In the demo, we’re using the Equity – IDX Quick Search widget, but you can add any other widgets you’d like.
Alternative: WP Listings search widget

  1. Visit the Appearance > Widgets page
  2. Expand the Home Top Right widget area
  3. Add the Equity – IDX Quick Search widget to the Home Top Right widget area
  4. Enter a title
  5. Select the MLS to search
  6. Enter search button text or leave at default, and choose “Vertical” orientation.
  7. Click the Save button

Footer Widgets

You can add any available widgets to your Footer Widget areas. Here we will show how to set up the IDX widgets used in the demo. You can also change the number of footer widget areas by visiting the Customize section.

Footer 1

  1. Add the Equity – IDX Property Showcase widget to the Footer 1 widget area
  2. Give it a title
  3. Select the property type to display
  4. Check the box to show the image
  5. Enter 1 for the number of listings to show.
  6. Click the Save button

Footer 2

  1. Add the Equity – Custom Menu widget
  2. Select the IDX pages custom menu
    * Instructions for creating the IDX pages menu with icons is on the Menus section of this guide
  3. Click the Save button

Footer 3

  1. Add a Text widget
  2. Enter contact info or any other html content
  3. Click the Save button
